Bella started getting me to use MyFitnessPal to track my calories. I thought I was sneaking under 2,000 calories with efficient until I went through the first three days and realized that, sadly, it wasn't the case. That got us to thinking about diets and structuring food. We through the holiday food out (sorry, mom's) and whatever is left we didn't seal up so their shelf lives would shorten. But as we continue to grow our lives together, we're trying to figure out better ways to eat. The two big ones are Weight Watchers and Nutrisystem. We don't know which one to go with. At this point, we're not sure which is which - this is why we write these. Endorsements, advertisements, pitches and testimonials aside, it's time to figure out if there's even a difference.
Right now the biggest difference we've noticed between weight watcher, Jenny Craig & NutriSystem is that Weight Watchers is more apt to allow you to eat your own food. NutriSystem & Jenny Craig is more about providing their own meals (backwards from what we anticipated). They both offer flexibility.
It's a tough call. Weight watchers provides a cheaper introductory option that doesn't come with food. Pending on how you eat (which if you are like me, you're fueling yourself constantly), both could nicely supplement your budget.
Well, the both go about a pound or two a week. Unfortunately, neight plan supplies willpower so if you're sneaking snacks, not sleeping or not drinking enough water than neither plan will work. Also, neither plan will do you a lick of good if you eat more than the recommendations - like the folks who bought "fat reduced cookies," thinking they could eat as much as they want and get results.
According to their respective sites, generally claim the following features and benefits:
- proper nutrition
- great support
- risk free guarantees
- celebrity endorsements
- results not typical - but we're guessing they're likely if you STICK TO THEM like GLUE
Order Process: We find detractors for both programs. Nothing really worth mentioning that we saw regarding watchdog sites.
Product Performance: It comes down to the user. If you consult physicians and get on the plan and then start sneaking buttered popcorn at the movies at night (m'mmmmm), then neither one is going to work. Also, if you are a rather sedentary person, the results are going to plateau. That is just the way of things.
We expect that if you are this far then you're on the first step to the journey. We expect that many of you are going to think you failed because your diet and exercise habits didn't magically change because you purchased one of the products. By the way, there's no Easter Bunny, either.
The truth is that on paper, dieting looks easy. Cut calories, goto the gym and watch 3 hourl-long TV shows while walking on the treadmill and you'll be good to go. In reality, it's so much more painful to realize that a little nibble here and a little sneak there and a little, "I needed a pick me up," all detracts from what you're trying to do. Because what you should be trying to do is make a lifestyle change so you never have to worry about this calorie crap ever again. What you end up buying is a support system to help you get through the metamorphosis that is a lifestyle change. If you treat it as just a diet, you'll probably f*** it up. Jenny Craig & Weight Watchers provide regular individual and group counseling to help make such a transformation and help when you get over the hump and start losing weight. They can help you stick through completion.

Before I'd ever use a product like Dr. Ho's Back Belt, I would consult my chiropractor - who I haven't seen in awhile. What we found is that most people wouldn't take such an approach...
I would swear that the NutriBullet is just a Magic Bullet with a different plastic skin and fonts & iconography. I assume that if I want to make veggie smoothies I could just use a Magic Bullet, but apparently I can't. Or something like that. I'm still looking.
This is one of those times where my grandfather bought something he wanted to see on TV and it was a great idea. I went into the garage and click the switch when I realized the light-bulb didn't look like an ordinary light-bulb.
With so many acne products out and about, on television, on the shelves, at the impulse counter, next to the Redbox and vending machines...It's enough to make one wonder as to why the competition is so fierce. Is it because no single product works well enough? Or is it because people have a hard time telling which product works for them. Maybe Neutrogena is onto something with the SkinID.
Awesome Auger - Was It PitchMen's Billy Mays that Made it Awesome? Or was it Awesome Auger inventor Tommie Matasko and his inspiring story that lead to the Auger's invention? Please visit the As Seen on TV Life Summary Review and find out.
Before Vince came out with his copycat ShamWOW and his Time/Life operator headphones, there was a super-absorbent cloth that took care of the chills and spills your clumsy day created. And all you needed to know was that Billy Mays thought it was awesome.
