I am uber picky about my sunglasses - which, by the way, if you see my bronze Maui Jim sunglasses, please give them back to me. I miss them. I put up signs over the lost dog signs in the neighbor. Cash reward. No questions asked...
That said, the other thing we're picky about are our headphones. If in your career you've ever worked in an open office with 50 other folks on computers, headphones become prized commodities. So when we look at a product like SoundSleeves, we're gonna be particular. Why? We'd spend $300 on Bose headphones well, I wouldn't. I hate Bose for not publishing their product performance stats. For that matter, neither does SoundSleeves. This is gonna be fun to research.
For us, the best way to describe them is to take a pair of ipod headphones with those earbuds, skin them with flashy colors and designs that include some semblance of bedazzling and you have SoundSleeves. They're definitely the most fashion-progressive headphones we've ever seen. They also claim the latest technology in sound retention. We're not sure what that means. We thought that had something to do with the quality of music you're listening to, but we're inclined to give it a try. So long as we don't find anything in our research discouraging about them.
According to official product websites, Sound Sleeves claim the following features and benefits:
- superior sound
- tangle-free design
- high-quality materials
- fits all ear styles
Order Process: So far so good for the SoundsSleeves. All the typical online indicators haven't shown issue with this site which isn't surprising. It's 1 offer and one S&H per pair. It doesn't get a whole lot simpler than that especially for As Seen on TV products. If that changes we'll let you know.
Product Performance: Welcome to the great mystery: do the damned things work? The big problem with a product NAME like this is that it's getting brand confusion with both an iPad sleeve with speakers & musical mouth pieces . All have the same variation to the name. SO, after sifting through the muckety-muck we found that what mostly is out there is marketing fluff. We haven't found anyone coming out against it and we haven't gotten any complaints about it via our reader to this point so, so far so good.
I won't give up my headphones for anything. I live within them. They help me keep sane. That being said, if I wanted some tricked out headphones that made me stand out in a crowd, I'd consider Soundsleeves. While we don't like the fact they don't publish their musical specs, Bose has been getting away with it for decades to mesmerizing results. Maybe lightning strikes twice.

Before I'd ever use a product like Dr. Ho's Back Belt, I would consult my chiropractor - who I haven't seen in awhile. What we found is that most people wouldn't take such an approach...
I would swear that the NutriBullet is just a Magic Bullet with a different plastic skin and fonts & iconography. I assume that if I want to make veggie smoothies I could just use a Magic Bullet, but apparently I can't. Or something like that. I'm still looking.
This is one of those times where my grandfather bought something he wanted to see on TV and it was a great idea. I went into the garage and click the switch when I realized the light-bulb didn't look like an ordinary light-bulb.
With so many acne products out and about, on television, on the shelves, at the impulse counter, next to the Redbox and vending machines...It's enough to make one wonder as to why the competition is so fierce. Is it because no single product works well enough? Or is it because people have a hard time telling which product works for them. Maybe Neutrogena is onto something with the SkinID.
Awesome Auger - Was It PitchMen's Billy Mays that Made it Awesome? Or was it Awesome Auger inventor Tommie Matasko and his inspiring story that lead to the Auger's invention? Please visit the As Seen on TV Life Summary Review and find out.
Before Vince came out with his copycat ShamWOW and his Time/Life operator headphones, there was a super-absorbent cloth that took care of the chills and spills your clumsy day created. And all you needed to know was that Billy Mays thought it was awesome.
