The problem with staying connected online is that people can always contact you. The beauty of getting away is that those who can contact you can do less of that. The problem with getting away is that there's less places to charge the phone - especially for folks like me who use their phone more as an iPod than as a communicator. The beauty of this situation is that their are portable charges such as the Solar Charger by Bell + Howell who can provide a little pocket of energy in case I simply don't want to be around any electric devices that aren't plugged into my headphones. So now we've come to the part of the story where we see how well beautifully we can make the problems work together...
Have you ever been on the run and need to charge your phone? Well, most manufacturers don't allow for battery swapping, but if you have a purse or a pocket and a set of keys, you can carry around a cell phone battery charger and charge your phone on the fly. That's the beauty of the Bell + Howell Solar Charger.
Receiving power from a USB device or the sun, the Bell + Howell Solar Charger is a little pocket of energy that can give your phone that extra boost of energy between calls.
According to www.getcharger.com, Bell + Howell Solar Charger claims the following features and benefits:
- charger anywhere
- adapt to any device
- easy to carry
- comes on a keychain
- never miss a call or email
Order Process: There's only one hiccup we've seen in the order process. The BOGO is pretty standard. Each product gets a P&H (processing & handling) charger and a handful of states apply sales tax. The hiccup is found when going for the deluxe: note the offer is preselected on the product site for the basic order. If you would like the deluxe, switch out the radio button on the product site before making the initial order.
Product Performance: As for whether or not the product works, we found quite a few video reviews from news sites. The solar charger definitely seems to work Apple devices. One outlet tried it on their iPhone with much success. Another one we witnessed used a Motorola and had less success regardless of whether USB or solar power was used - only about half-power. However, when the Motorola owner used the same charger on their iPod they were able to receive a full charge.
This doesn't come as a surprise to us. Our Parent Company has had clients who wanted to use mobile swipe payment processing machines on their Motorolla 4g phone and it worked until the Android OS had an update and the device no longer worked. As much as we love Androids, we steer clear of using 3rd party devices for them.
We expect that the iPhone users could really end up enjoying the device as advertised. Android users - especially from Motorola - might have issues pending of the version of the OS used. We expect it to go this way.
We also note that from our experience we recommend that users let their phone's battery run out to empty before beginning recharging. Charging before the battery drains can create an issue called "ionization." - where negative ions begin to fill up the battery cells, leaving less and less space for the battery to hold energy. Modern batteries are meant to avoid this but given our phones are reaching a year or two and have half the power they used to have, we feel ionization is still an issue with phones. Keep this in mind and you should be able to take better care of your phone.

Before I'd ever use a product like Dr. Ho's Back Belt, I would consult my chiropractor - who I haven't seen in awhile. What we found is that most people wouldn't take such an approach...
I would swear that the NutriBullet is just a Magic Bullet with a different plastic skin and fonts & iconography. I assume that if I want to make veggie smoothies I could just use a Magic Bullet, but apparently I can't. Or something like that. I'm still looking.
This is one of those times where my grandfather bought something he wanted to see on TV and it was a great idea. I went into the garage and click the switch when I realized the light-bulb didn't look like an ordinary light-bulb.
With so many acne products out and about, on television, on the shelves, at the impulse counter, next to the Redbox and vending machines...It's enough to make one wonder as to why the competition is so fierce. Is it because no single product works well enough? Or is it because people have a hard time telling which product works for them. Maybe Neutrogena is onto something with the SkinID.
Awesome Auger - Was It PitchMen's Billy Mays that Made it Awesome? Or was it Awesome Auger inventor Tommie Matasko and his inspiring story that lead to the Auger's invention? Please visit the As Seen on TV Life Summary Review and find out.
Before Vince came out with his copycat ShamWOW and his Time/Life operator headphones, there was a super-absorbent cloth that took care of the chills and spills your clumsy day created. And all you needed to know was that Billy Mays thought it was awesome.
