People learn differently. For me, I learned guitar by memorizing chord placements, locking myself in my room, turning off the lights and practicing over and over and over and over again. But I was hungry to learn. Not everyone can learn that way.For others, they require more instruction and tutorials. Some learn off the internet but some would like to go with a source they know instead of assuming the pothead who recorded themselves playing Margaritaville in their bathroom - which, by the way, is cool too.
It is with this concept in mind that we go forth reviewing Ralph Paul's system.
An 8 disc instructional DVD, Ralph Paul's Guitar Made Easy helps simplify guitar instruction into an easy-to-use approach for those not wanting to learn how to read music. It's a system Paul started putting together since 1999. By the way...it's not the Ralph Paul from the Ed Sullivan show. It's a different guy with indy circuit training and even has a Theology degree.
According to RalphPaul.com, Ralph Paul's Guitar Made Easy claims the following features and benefits:
- fast, easy & fun to learn
- start playing guitar in 5 minutes
- learn at own pace
- for acoustic or electric
- no reading sheet music

Did you get all that? There are some complaints out there about folks thinking this whole thing was only $30 or so. Note it is written on the website. Welcome to As Seen on TV product website purchasing. I promise, they're not all that complex.
Product Performance: That's a touch call. It's not like he's teaching the wrong things or the bad things. There hasn't been any complaints of copied DVDs or the like. The DVDs look like they've been functioning as designed.
It depends on whether or not you have an aptitude for guitar. Turn off the TV, sit in a dark room, watch the DVDs, then turn off the lights and practice. Then, do it again. It will depend on your dedication.
I used the CAGE-D method. I looked online at UltimateGuitar.com for chords. I learned to play guitar. It's the repetition you'll need. If you can learn to type on a keyboard, you can learn the strings. How well you play will be up to you. If you decide you can't figure out a C after practicing the tutorials, let us know. But, yeah, the system should be at least adequate from what I can tell. And, yes, you can find instructional videos on YouTube. Before I'd ever use a product like Dr. Ho's Back Belt, I would consult my chiropractor - who I haven't seen in awhile. What we found is that most people wouldn't take such an approach...
I would swear that the NutriBullet is just a Magic Bullet with a different plastic skin and fonts & iconography. I assume that if I want to make veggie smoothies I could just use a Magic Bullet, but apparently I can't. Or something like that. I'm still looking.
This is one of those times where my grandfather bought something he wanted to see on TV and it was a great idea. I went into the garage and click the switch when I realized the light-bulb didn't look like an ordinary light-bulb.
With so many acne products out and about, on television, on the shelves, at the impulse counter, next to the Redbox and vending machines...It's enough to make one wonder as to why the competition is so fierce. Is it because no single product works well enough? Or is it because people have a hard time telling which product works for them. Maybe Neutrogena is onto something with the SkinID.
Awesome Auger - Was It PitchMen's Billy Mays that Made it Awesome? Or was it Awesome Auger inventor Tommie Matasko and his inspiring story that lead to the Auger's invention? Please visit the As Seen on TV Life Summary Review and find out.
Before Vince came out with his copycat ShamWOW and his Time/Life operator headphones, there was a super-absorbent cloth that took care of the chills and spills your clumsy day created. And all you needed to know was that Billy Mays thought it was awesome.
