Original web offer details & such:  ~ $28-$30 pending on the store. Sales tax:  pending. Guarantee:  pending on store.

I'm about as good as tools, well, if the tool is a guitar, keyboard or basketball. Sometimes and video game controller but not in the last couple years. I'm the one who's smart at lifting heavy things when helping friends with remodeling chores or in the garage. I can also tune an classic Philco radio to WGN during Cubs games.

I go into this reviewing hoping I don't look like a fool in the eyes of my best friends who are gear heads and DIYs. I know I set myself up for insults in the comments below, but be that as it may I research it as one who hopes his potential purchase wouldn't ridiculed by his friends. Afterall, Isn't that what we all hope?

What Is the Kobalt Double Drive Ratchet?

It's a ratchet set that turns both left and right pending on the setting. The philosophy is that being able to tighten regardless of direction, thereby quickening the time it would take to get the job done.

Benefits, Claims & Features

According to lowes.com, the Kobalt Double Drive Ratchet claims the following features and benefits:

  • extra 50 bits
  • dual drive gearing
  • universal drive sockets
  • extendable / rotable handle
  • set & pouch

Does Kobalt Double Drive Ratchet Work? Review of Complaints, Frauds, Rip-Offs, Scams...

Order Process:  Those who have seen this on an infomercial have little to worry about it. They're not really infomercial products; they just play them on TV. The ratchet is available at a variety of stores both online and brick & mortar and we haven't found complaint one about online ordering issues at this time.

Product Performance: The reviews we've read have made the Ratchet sound as if it's of a nice quality but perhaps not the first choice for industrial use. There were reports of the occasional slip. Some were able to use it in a tight space, other's weren't as fortunate. That could also be a condition of the craftsmen - sometimes, the tool is only as good as the craftsmen.

If you don't use it commercially you'll appear destined for good things with it. Commercial, it could be hit or miss.

Final Thoughts - What to Expect...Perhaps

We excpect that people we, overall, find some great use with it. If it truly holds up with the lefty tightly, righty tighty, description Gizmodo gave it, the future can only be brighter for the ratchet.

It comes down to whether or not I'd use it? I've seen my best friend use Kobalt tools and like them. Therefore, I suspect I'd purchase one when I'd need one - whenever that would be.

Customer Service:   Depends on where you purchase the product

With so many acne products out and about, on television, on the shelves, at the impulse counter, next to the Redbox and vending machines...It's enough to make one wonder as to why the competition is so fierce. Is it because no single product works well enough? Or is it because people have a hard time telling which product works for them. Maybe Neutrogena is onto something with the SkinID.
