Health

When it comes to As Seen on TV Health product reviews, it's not quite like a case of taking the good with the bad. It's more like having to eat your vegetables so you're allowed to have ice cream later.

More than likely, you won't find us giving a strong opinion one way or the other when it comes to As Seen on TV Health products. We'll give you the info as far as we know, a little addition insight into the techniques, and additional third party opinions. From there, we will let you decide for yourself.

We don't have any M.D.'s, Ph.D.'s, Psy.D.'s, DCM's, or D.C.H.'s on staff nor do we claim to, but we'll let you know what we find.

Have you ever wondered if there was a natural way to repel mosquitoes instead of having to buy that store crap? What about knowing the best way to treat caterpillar?. Want to out-cockroach a cockroach? Welcome to essence of the book. Over 400 pages of solutions available to keep pets from being a pest. And It's Dr. Myles Bader. He's like the JK Rowling of the infomercial tip book market. Some people just purchase his books to read them.

AllergieBlock bills itself moreorless as the the best combinations of antihistamines, decongestants and combination allergy drugs. It claims to block airborne allergens, prevents allergies, has no side effects, does not require ingestion, is a topical-gel that's drug free and does not cause drowsiness.

Ever seen those cycling and running clothes that sorta feel like chilled polyester? The kind Lance Armstrong wore - shout out for the foundation. Here's to hoping they survive the nightmare - that seems to be the uniform worn at the gym? Well that same type of material, lycra, is used in Jox Sox. That in itself is enough to make us want try them out.

RedMD is an anti-aging LED light therapy treatment that is based on the products and machines used in beauty salons & spas. They're supposed to replenish the skin by stimulating its desire to repair itself with collagen & elastin. The best way we heard it: imagine getting all the Vitamin D benefits of the sun without all that radiation. Now though we don't believe you receive vitamin D from the LED treatment, the waves & radiation-less heat is meant to trick the skin into feeling warm and fuzzy and active.

Before I'd ever use a product like Dr. Ho's Back Belt, I would consult my chiropractor - who I haven't seen in awhile. What we found is that most people wouldn't take such an approach...

Endorsed by the immortal Bob Eubanks - who's know a thing or two about relationships - Zyppah Rx helps keep the mandibular jaw positioned properly when sleeping so those who can talk to whales between breaths can be a little quieter for their spouses. The revolutionary Z-Flex technology also ensures the passageway remains open while sleeping. Bella is creeping of my shoulder going, 'ooh! Oooh!'

I can't hear the name Ruby Reads and not get the Grateful Dead song Truckin' in my head. It's just a thing. But a good thing. A healthy thing. Sort of like Ruby Reds itself. But is it healthy or just a mashup of nutrition blends that have no synergistic value? Those are the other things I think about in a day when I researching the As Seen on TV Industry. Being a veteran of the space, I've been down this golden road to unlimited devotion before more Grateful Dead .

What Are Ruby Reds?

The have nothing do do with the Grateful Dead, sadly - or gratefully. They are a propr

Tummy Tuck Belt is similar to other like detoxification wraps helps squeeze extra water and other like elements. Apply some thermal accelerator cream, throw the wrap around your stomach - hit the skin - and after the recommenced amount of time the stomach should have a little less then what was there before.

Imagine the scraping potential of PedEgg with the topical rub of Heeltastic and you get Callous Clear. It's a pretty unique upgrade. The stuff is supposed to work on one application. As for CallusClear, it is a rub that works on feet and provides something similar.

[Review] NutriBullet - It's Better Than Your Blender Because???? WTF?

Posted on: 01 22, 2013 at 01:17 - {ARTICLE_FBCOMMENTS} comments

I would swear that the NutriBullet is just a Magic Bullet with a different plastic skin and fonts & iconography. I assume that if I want to make veggie smoothies I could just use a Magic Bullet, but apparently I can't. Or something like that. I'm still looking.

This is one of those times where my grandfather bought something he wanted to see on TV and it was a great idea. I went into the garage and click the switch when I realized the light-bulb didn't look like an ordinary light-bulb.

Neutrogena SkinID [Review] - Free Skin ID Evaluation

With so many acne products out and about, on television, on the shelves, at the impulse counter, next to the Redbox and vending machines...It's enough to make one wonder as to why the competition is so fierce. Is it because no single product works well enough? Or is it because people have a hard time telling which product works for them. Maybe Neutrogena is onto something with the SkinID.

New site. Old dust. We're working on it.

Welcome, Lifers, to the new As Seen on TV Life site. It's build on our parent company's enterprise level CMS platform - BiziPorts (still in Beta). We've got a few bits to clean up on it, but it was already better than what it used to be sitting on.

[Review] Tummy Stuffers vs Stuffies...have we had our fill?

If you want your kids to learn these skills, turning it into a fun activity wouldn't be a bad idea. It's why we like the idea of Tummy Stuffers - as well as their rival - Stuffies. We just hope the brand confusion with a famous restaurant in Anaheim, CA doesn't get in the way of the product's potential.
