I chose the pen name, "No Billy," for a reason. I scraped, clawed, fought and spit to get the name and to make sure I'm the one that gets all the Billy Mays products - for as long as they last which is, hopefully, forever.
I even love the Big City Slider Station. Seriously, someone used a muffin template, made a flat iron grill out of it and came up with something that's like a White Castle Slider but without all that food poisoning.
But will it hold up to the Billy Mays level of excellence?
The Big Slider is about how we described it in the intro - it's a two-sided flat iron grill a-la George Foreman grill. The difference is that the grill is specifically designed for mini-burgers. They fit right on a stove and grill up like the indoor grill I use religiously during the winters. The offer also comes with a recipe book and a measuring spoon. We're not sure why someone would need a recipe book, but if the commercial is any indication then there's a whole lot of crazy snackable sensations we've never considered. If they start playing NFL football again, Billy's Slider Station will come in quite handy.
According to bigcityslider.com, Big City Slider Station claims the following features and benefits:
- just scoop, press & cook
- 100% satisfaction (minus S&H - presumed)
- free slicer and spoon
- no flipping required
- ready in 2 minutes (give or take)
Order Process: For the most part, the order process complaints were negligible. We found a couple but we didn't really take them serious. Not because I still have a Billy-crush, but given the volume this product sold in, we don't think the complaints were a trend. But if you order one, cancel and then still get charged 3 months later, let us know.
Product Performance: Honestly, we didn't heed much credence to the couple complaints we found for the order process. It's a pretty simple product. It's not going to make the meat you use better. Spray down the grill, use meat that doesn't suck and it should be making you some good stuff. If other's have had different experiences with it, please let us know. We reserve the right to be wrong :-).
We stumbled across a couple forums and blogs that talked about the station with only minimal fluff. Please take a moment to check them out.
We had a playlist of videos below, but the Jaboody Dubs video was too awesome to include other videos. It's NSFW so be alert, but if you get to watch it then you'll LYAO.

Before I'd ever use a product like Dr. Ho's Back Belt, I would consult my chiropractor - who I haven't seen in awhile. What we found is that most people wouldn't take such an approach...
I would swear that the NutriBullet is just a Magic Bullet with a different plastic skin and fonts & iconography. I assume that if I want to make veggie smoothies I could just use a Magic Bullet, but apparently I can't. Or something like that. I'm still looking.
This is one of those times where my grandfather bought something he wanted to see on TV and it was a great idea. I went into the garage and click the switch when I realized the light-bulb didn't look like an ordinary light-bulb.
With so many acne products out and about, on television, on the shelves, at the impulse counter, next to the Redbox and vending machines...It's enough to make one wonder as to why the competition is so fierce. Is it because no single product works well enough? Or is it because people have a hard time telling which product works for them. Maybe Neutrogena is onto something with the SkinID.
Awesome Auger - Was It PitchMen's Billy Mays that Made it Awesome? Or was it Awesome Auger inventor Tommie Matasko and his inspiring story that lead to the Auger's invention? Please visit the As Seen on TV Life Summary Review and find out.
Before Vince came out with his copycat ShamWOW and his Time/Life operator headphones, there was a super-absorbent cloth that took care of the chills and spills your clumsy day created. And all you needed to know was that Billy Mays thought it was awesome.
