Automotive

You could put this into a classic Economics supply / demand chart that none of us liked to look at in high school:  the higher the price of oil goes up, the higher consumer interest becomes in As Seen on TV Car & Auto products. Especially regarding the many products that have to do with fuel conservation. The rest of the automotive products seem to get a bump as well.

Whether it is the gas saving devices, the water-less car washes or the Simoniz scratch removal products, As Seen on TV Life is your source for auto product reviews.

Like in the tradition of Fast Brite and the like, Detail Doctor is a plastic, vinyl and leather restorer that is geared towards restoring older cars while at the same time maintaining the newness of younger autos. All areas on the car are available: tires, headlight covers, door panels, mirrors, center consoles, hubcaps..the patent leather on my Air Jordan XI's...

With CarMD, instead of paying mechanics $50 dollars to plug your car into a computer, you can get similar results yourself.

I've had enough road trips to St. Louis this year. If I never go again it will be too soon. My car wasn't the concern, it was the reason for the drive - which is no longer around insert sad face here :-( . I've got a couple road trips coming up with a good friend of mine as we go to visit a third friend. She's not very tall and it's hard enough for her to see over the dashboard. I wonder how 6 hours in a car on the way to Akron would do for her when it comes to my car's sharp seat belts.

But, first, let's see how much Grief Hercules Holder would save before I say yes to a product that has a eerily similar name to a Billy Mays classic: Hercules Hooks.

Fuel Shark Review - Updated. Is It a Scam?

I woke up before the sun and went to the gym, and gas went up 2 cents a gallon. I finished, stretched and headed for home, and gas went up three cents a gallon. And before I push the 'publish' button on this summary review, gas is liable to go up another nickel. And it's winter time, when gas prices are typically lower.

Know what a self-fulfilling prophecy is? It's where you look for something to come true and, eventually, it does. I did that to my car when I reviewed the RestorZ It Solution. I asked if I'd use it on my car and a week later, my car had a scratch on the driver's side door. So, if you were me and had a new Mustang GT, would you use the Fix-It Pen to use on a door scratch?

It's hard to look at this 1941 Chevy Flatbed Carrier Collectible and not think of those days and not think of the things we would have come up with if a '32 coupe would have been on the bed.

I don't even change the oil without consulting my two oldest friends. Especially the one who's been restoring MOPARs since long before he technically had a license. So much so that right now he's got a 1968 Barracuda in a shop down in Valdosta, Georgia where a specialist is doing the body work. At the same time, he's got a 1962 Dodge Dart in a tent in his backyard as he finishes the slime green paint job.

Boogity! Boogity! Boogity! I love it when Darrell Waltrip pitches a product. I don't even so much care what the product is so long as i get to watch his vibrancy fill up a TV screen for a few seconds. And teaming him up with For Life Products to pitch Reuvenate Auto? Boogity! Boogity! Boogity!

Decompressing w/ Dr. Ho's Back Belt [Review] - (I could have said, "pimpin' ").

Before I'd ever use a product like Dr. Ho's Back Belt, I would consult my chiropractor - who I haven't seen in awhile. What we found is that most people wouldn't take such an approach...

[Review] NutriBullet - It's Better Than Your Blender Because???? WTF?

I would swear that the NutriBullet is just a Magic Bullet with a different plastic skin and fonts & iconography. I assume that if I want to make veggie smoothies I could just use a Magic Bullet, but apparently I can't. Or something like that. I'm still looking.

Review - InstaBulb w/ Anthony Sullivan - Another Classic My Grandfather Used

This is one of those times where my grandfather bought something he wanted to see on TV and it was a great idea. I went into the garage and click the switch when I realized the light-bulb didn't look like an ordinary light-bulb.

Neutrogena SkinID [Review] - Free Skin ID Evaluation

With so many acne products out and about, on television, on the shelves, at the impulse counter, next to the Redbox and vending machines...It's enough to make one wonder as to why the competition is so fierce. Is it because no single product works well enough? Or is it because people have a hard time telling which product works for them. Maybe Neutrogena is onto something with the SkinID.

New site. Old dust. We're working on it.

Welcome, Lifers, to the new As Seen on TV Life site. It's build on our parent company's enterprise level CMS platform - BiziPorts (still in Beta). We've got a few bits to clean up on it, but it was already better than what it used to be sitting on.
